Cincinnati Search Engine Optimization Pizza? Or Cincinnati Pizza?
You should use local keywords if you want to find local customers. Some businesses don't want customers in Seattle if they are focusing on Cincinnati (pizza, massage therapy, yard services, etc.).
How Many Clicks To Find Your Site?

The next time you use a search engine to find a product, service or vacation spot, check to see how many pages you click thru until you find what you're searching for. One? Three? More?

Consider this:

There are 10 websites per page of search results.

Studies show that 62% don't go past the first page of search results (just one page).

And, 90% don't go past the third page of search results (three pages).

So, if your website is not ranked in the Top 30 (three pages), then 9 of 10 people searching for your products and services will never find you.

Go ahead...search for your product or service (not your business name). Where are you ranked?

What Google Wants

It's the 64-million-dollar question: What does Google want? No one really knows. Afterall, Google considers more than 100 different elements in its search engine ranking algorithm.

However, you'll go far if you focus your SEO energy in these areas:

Keywords. Research and use the best possible keywords in your website. Use researching tools such as Wordtracker.

Write Good Copy. Develop good content for your site's pages. Incorporate good keywords you found during your research.

Write Fresh Content. Don't let your website sit there and get stale. Write fresh content about your products, service, staff, etc.

Create Backlinks. Spend the time getting other websites to publish a link pointing to your website. This is an important piece of good SEO.

Create a Sitemap. This is both a good idea for those coming to your website and for search engine spiders.
